This time was a fantastic and honestly one of the coolest builds especially for a Land rover ever! And one of my favourite projects. It captures the true nature of Hot Roding without even trying. The owner of this series 1 purchased the car sometime in the late 70s. He would go on to fit a v8. It first got a 3.5 rover v8, then after blowing that up he put a later 4.2 in it! he decided that was a bit silly and put an old 3.5 in it. Unfortunaly after some time it was parked up due to engine troubles.

And here is where Town & Country Customs comes in. Another garage started this project but we soon stepped in and carried on with it. We finished the engine installation and got many little wiring faults sorted and generally went through the car as you would with something that’s been sitting a long time.

This series 1 is a true Hot Rod by nature as it was built for a purpose and actually used! from picking the kids up at school with it through to surprising some Porsche owners at the traffic lights.
